- What makes a graduation (or any speech for that matter) epic?
- What do you find inspirational in speeches when they are given?
- Would you be willing to give a speech at your graduation? Why or why not?
- If you personally HAD to give the graduation speech and weren't given a choice, what would you talk about or do differently to make it really stand out and be an experience instead of a bore?
Do a YouTube search for best graduation and/or commencement speeches (a good way to see if they are worth watching is to look at the number of views and the comments). Watch one or two and then answer the following questions in your journal:
Visit the Scale of the Universe 2. Choose 'English' & 'Start' to run the tool. Notice that the user can zoom all the way out to the end of the Universe and all the way in to the smallest known item to mankind.
Click an item in the scale. Notice it gives the size and description of the item. Experiment with this model for at least five minutes.
In your journal blog, write about this tool and how it teaches us about the universe in which we live. How is this helpful? From a programming standpoint, how hard would it be to write and create a tool such as this? Write about this topic for five minutes minimum in your journal blog.
