Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles
This is the class you’ve been waiting for! AP CSP is a full-year entry-level course that introduces students to the foundational concepts of computer science and challenges them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. It was designed with the goal of creating leaders in computer science fields and attracting and engaging those who are traditionally underrepresented with essential computing tools and multidisciplinary opportunities. Learn about AI, how to code & write apps, graphical user interfaces and so much more. This introductory computer science course can be taken with or without the AP designation. It’s YOUR choice. If you take and pass the AP exam, you EARN COLLEGE CREDIT! And you can decide that while in the course! Every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science and you are one of the few lucky ones who has the course available in your school. This course is supportive, equitable, engaging and involves valuable learning. Although assignments can be viewed, completed, turned in and reviewed by the instructor in TEAMS & Code.org, the score itself will be reflected in SKYWARD only.
